Feb 18 Little Black Dress: Add Your Signature Style
Every woman should own at least one little black dress in her closet. It is that great essential item that you can dress up or dress down. We’ve seen many great fashion icons from days gone by wear the little black dress with style like Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel. Here you can see how Audrey gives the little black dress a lot of glamour by accessorizing it with a diamond tiara and large pearl necklace. Coco Chanel gives her own style personality by adding a black hat and long pearl necklace.
Today we see our celebrities wearing the timeless classic but in a different way. Catherine Zeta Jones wears a very alluring, sexy neckline of the little black dress which flatters her hourglass shape and Angelina Jolie wear her tank style dress in a more natural way by not adorning her body with lots of jewelry.
Whatever your style, you can always change the accessories of a little black dress to give it a whole new persona. Here are a few of my tips to change the style of my little black dress:
Pair it with black shoes and a strand of pearl necklaces and earrings to give it that retro classic feel.
For a more chic feel, wear it with tall sleek leather boots and a black clutch with minimal jewerly to create that simply chic look.
For a dressy affair, I would change my accessories to add a beautiful mink cape or wrap, some diamond earrings, a black and silver beaded evening bag and great black or silver metallic strappy sandals.
Play around to create different looks and develop your signature style wearing your little black dress. It’s definitely a classic timeless dress and well worth your investment.
