Nov 12 Holiday Specials: Stock up on Wardrobe Basics
A week or so before Thanksgiving, all the stores begin their holiday specials. Everyone has a sale to compete for your holiday shopping dollars. This is a great time when you are out shopping for friends and family to look to stock up on a few basics or add them to your wish list. The After Christmas Sales are also a great time to stock up at 50% savings, but remember, oftentimes the color or size of the item has sold out. If you really love something you see prior to Christmas, I suggest you buy it at a savings of 25% – 40% on the various upcoming sales. Being in the retail business for over 20 years, here are a few great basics which are always on sale certain weeks of the pre-holiday shopping season:
- Cashmere sweaters
- Sweaters for both men and women
- Loungewear and robes
- Shoes, and boots
- Handbags
- Fashion jewerly
- Dresses and attire for New Year’s Eve
- Activewear – Hooded sweatshirts, fleece, sweat suits, 2-piece active sets
- Knits – turlenecks, mocknecks, Tees
Why not look through your closet prior to starting your holiday shopping this season and look for items you need to add to your existing wardrobe to put on your wish list for Santa. When you create a shopping plan, you will create more mix and match with your current pieces at a discounted price when shopping prior or after Christmas.
